Astal (halwa-desk) — Pâtisserie Operations SaaS
End-to-end production SaaS with PostgreSQL RLS & offline-first till
Comprehensive multi-tenant SaaS built for specialty bakeries and food artisans: inventory management, batch production planning, point of sale, weighted average recipe costing, and compliance invoicing. Implements PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) for tenant isolation, an offline till with an IndexedDB transaction queue, and database-side cost calculations.
Project status: Production Ready (candidate-reported).

Architecture & decisions
- Strict Tenant Isolation: PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) guarantees complete tenant data isolation at the engine level.
- Offline-First Resilience: POS register operates seamlessly during network outages, queuing transactions in IndexedDB and replaying with conflict resolution.
- Disposable Preview Branches: Database schema changes rehearse migrations against disposable database forks on Neon before production release.

What to explore in a walkthrough
- Where the system runs today and which parts are production, development, or research.
- The architectural tradeoffs, failure modes, and tests behind these decisions.
- What AI agents contributed and how their output was reviewed.
- Operational evidence and measurable results available for review.
